ISA modem usr sportster & mandrake 10.0 community

Никак не получается настроить :(
После запуска pnpdump создает isapnp.conf & gone
Редактирую их как надо (под виндой у меня модем работает на ком 2, irq 3 и 0x02f8 порту).
В ответ на isapnp /etc/isapnp.conf выдает

В /proc/ioports напротив 0x02f8 стоит serial. Это значит, какое-то другое устройство претендует на этот порт? Но все остальное вроде бы нормально работает..

И еще проблема - hotplug конкретно виснет при выгружении после "отсоединения" usb устройств. Это бага нестабильной версии?
