Senior Developer/Architect (from $1900 to $3000)

A Senior Developer/Architect is responsible for the technical design of projects that have been specified by Program Management. They are also responsible for the technical documentation of these systems. They work with the Team Leader on a project, where the Team Leader is responsible for the delivery of the project as specified, and the Architect is responsible for specifying exactly what is to be built to meet the requirements of the Business.
Completed Secondary education
Computer science tertiary degree and three years commercial development experience
OR Six years commercial development experience
Knowledge, skills and experience required
Object-oriented analysis and design techniques, Proficiency in Java,
SQL, Oracle or experience with other relational DB, UML,
Unix networking, Design tools: Visio; Development tools: at least one Java IDE and debugger, version control software, ant;
Internet - understanding of basic Web protocols and patterns (HTTP, security etc); Experience with one or more application servers; Optional but beneficial: JSP, Hibernate, J2EE;Optional but beneficial: PL/SQL, CF; Ability to quick learn new tools and techniques.
