Vacancy. Java Developer (Web UI, AJAX), SPb, $1400+
COMPANY GOALS AND OBJECTIVE
Company is the world leader in industrial measurement instrumentation. The company is currently expanding an existing software development organization in St. Petersburg to improve our software productivity and capacity. The primary services of the organization will be the implementation of PC based application software.
POSITION BACKGROUND
The successful candidate will participate in the development, enhancement and maintaining AJAX and Java based web interfaces for an embedded Linux industrial communication gateway. It will require a person that is largely self-directed producing detailed design and implementation of the software product. This position will be a software developer taking work direction from the technical lead in U.S.A.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Proficiency in written and spoken English language skills a must
Education:
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering/Advanced Engineering degree
Experience
1-3 years experience programming in the Windows environment
Technical Competencies and Job specific skills:
• HTML, XHTML, XML, Java, Javascript, AJAX
o apacheserver experience would be a plus
o Java servlet experience would be a plus
• Understanding of web based client-server development practices
• Basic Linux experience is a must
General Development Skills:• Understanding of standard software development processes
- Requirements development
- Software design using OO/UML techniques
- Code development in multiple programming languages
- Software unit test skills
- Understanding of standard configuration management practices
- CMM/CMMI knowledge is a plus
• Self-motivated
• Willing to learn and try new development approaches
Competencies considered a plus:• Industrial instrumentation and automation experience
• OPC
• Self-motivated
Other:
• Willingness to travel periodically with stays of up to 1 months (primarily U.S.A)
