Java Architect: Kiev, $3500
The world's leading provider of subtitling and language dubbing services to the entertainment industry, having major operations in Europe, Asia and North America is setting up a software development department in Kiev and is looking for Java Architect.
As a Java Architect you will be in charge of engineering and implementing an ERP system aimed at automating company’s business processes. You will be responsible for requirements analysis, research/prototype, design and implementation of the ERP application. Tasks include:
• Work with the management team to understand end user and overall business requirements
• Determine the application architecture
• Integrate existing applications and develop new application from the ground up
• Design and provide technical leadership to a team of developers in the creation of a Java based enterprise application
• Develop and implement technical design and code review process to ensure consistency in the utilization of patterns and frameworks as well as future maintainability and extensibility.
Required skills
• 6+ years of Java (production) development
• Experience with J2EE application servers
• Experience with OOP/OOD
• Experience with clustered applications, pooling, connection management, transactions
• Application security
• Integration with 3rd party tools/systems
• Experience with unit/functional testing
• Experience with Java Web frameworks
• Good understanding of RDBMS concepts
• Experience with ORM (object relational mapping)
• Experience with version control systems
• Good spoken and written English
